What if the grid is the bottleneck?
Thoughts (very experimental)
The user has asked an interesting question. The grid is a problem, but the solution is a matter of physics; not business. (don't worry, McKinsey—we still love you)

Most people think the energy problem is about how we generate power.

But the real problem is how it travels and how it's stored  our ailing, outmoded grid.

distributed solar+BESS > distributed BESS we'll explain this later.

America's T&D system (Perplexity) is stretched and aging  challenging to upgrade :()

T&D infrastructure takes years (decades) and billions (trillions) to build  slides 8 & 9.

[ does anyone actually like seeing power lines? ]

Instead of fixing the old system, what if we installed power at the edge? (that sounds novel)

Right where it's used  under the roof of your home.

Right where the grid is strongest  your circuit panel.

Let the system strengthen from the inside out  our thoughts exactly.

How should you feel about this?

You're not supposed to be impressed.

You're supposed to feel like you already knew this.

Like it's kind of obvious — because it is.
