The duck curve got its name because the chart looks like a duck 🦆

The chart displays metrics related to suppression of variable renewables.
Midday load decreases as solar kicks in doesn't sound so bad.
We curtail solar to prepare for a ramp at six because we can't store it, what?
Demand surges as everyone starts coming home we didn't store the solar why exactly?
It's not about about how much energy we produce well, yes and no.
We can double our output with battery storage alone shout out to Elon!
3x or 4x with distributed solar+BESS ~Livin' On The Edge~
The problem isn't solar, it's timing.
We can produce plenty of power wrong place, wrong time.
The sun is literally nuclear fusion and we're not saving it for later.
The grid responds to rapid demand, but at a price "I do have... a very particular set of skills."
So the system discards what they can't save and uses what we can't afford? basically.
How should you feel about this?
You're not supposed to ask any questions.
You're supposed to believe this is the best we can do.
This is not the best we can do | seriously, it's not even close…
